Motorcycle Accidents
The Babcock Law Firm engages itself in a limited number of motorcycle accident cases. It is important to note that we only accept motorcycle accident cases of significant merit. We represent Louisiana motorcyclists from across the state in their motorcycle accident injury cases.
Motorcycle deaths increased have more than doubled in Louisiana after the state repealed the mandatory helmet law in 1999 , but in 2004 the Louisiana Legislature decided to pass legislation requiring motorcycle riders to once again wear "safety helmets".
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in the two years before Louisiana's 1999 repeal, an average of 26 motorcyclists a year died in crashes. In the two years after repeal, the average was 55 motorcyclists killed.
An inescapable fact of life is that serious personal injuries happen. When they do, it's important to know and understand your legal rights.
