Texas tour group full with 120 leaders, BR chamber says

The Chamber of Greater Baton Rouge has released its final roster of 120 community and business leaders who will head to Texas in September to learn how Austin became an economic powerhouse.

The chamber is keeping a waiting list, which has 11 people on it, for anyone still interested, spokeswoman Nicole David said.

The Greater Baton Rouge Canvas Workshop to Austin, scheduled Sept. 21-23, will give local leaders a chance to visit Austin and attend three days of meetings with officials there.

The cost is $1,500 per person.
