American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry

The American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry is the largest organization of construction lawyers in the United States and abroad. Its 6,000 members are drawn from all areas of practice: large law firms, small firms, solo practitioners, government lawyers and corporate in house counsel.

Members represent all segments of the construction industry: owners, design professionals, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, insurers and sureties.

Associated Builders and Contractors

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national trade association representing more than 23,000 merit shop contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and related firms in 80 chapters across the United States. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry.

Listed among Fortune magazine’s top 50 “most influential” national organizations, ABC is devoted exclusively to the advancement of the merit shop construction philosophy which encourages open competition and a free enterprise approach that awards contracts based solely on merit regardless of labor affiliation.

Capital Region Builders Association

The association operates for the benefit of the building industry and those engaged in related fields in the parishes of East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Livingston, Ascension, East Feliciana, West Feliciana, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, and St. Helena.

Commercial Law League of America

Founded in 1895, the Commercial Law League of America has nearly 5,000 members in the United States as well as in dozens of countries abroad. Its membership consists of attorneys who concentrate their practice in commercial law, collections, the Uniform Commercial Code and bankruptcy and reorganization. The Commercial Law League of America is a sponsor of the American Board of Certification (ABC) which is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public and improving the quality of the bankruptcy and creditors' rights law bars. The ABC has certified nearly 1,000 attorneys in consumer and business bankruptcy and creditors' rights law nationwide.

Defense Research Institute

DRI is a national organization of defense trial lawyers and corporate counsel. DRI provides numerous educational and informational resources to DRI members and offers many opportunities for liaison among defense trial lawyers, Corporate America, and state and local defense organizations. DRI also has an international presence, seeking to enhance understanding of the law among members of the defense community who have reason to be concerned with the expanding globalization of litigation defense.

Greater Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce

As the voice of the Baton Rouge business community, the Chamber represents local business to all levels of government, and provides valuable services for its member businesses. From business information to marketing to educational programs, they are constantly developing new beneficial member services.

Louisiana Association of Business and Industry

The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry is the largest and most effective business lobbying group in Louisiana. It was formed over twenty-five years ago by business leaders from all over the state. They have unified the state's business community into a strong, well-financed, properly staffed organization which speaks for business and industry, not only during legislative sessions, but year-round.

Louisiana Association Criminal Defense Lawyers

The Louisiana Association Criminal Defense Lawyers was founded in 1985 by criminal defense lawyers, for criminal defense lawyers.  It is a very active organization of almost 400 of Louisiana's leading criminal defense lawyers.

Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel

The Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel is an organization of approximately 1,700 Louisiana attorneys who are primarily engaged in the defense of civil litigation. The organization was founded in 1963 to provide a vehicle for a sharing of ideas and an enhancement of the education and training of its members. It has enjoyed spectacular growth, and today provides its members with key educational opportunities, such as a monthly newsletter reporting on recent developments in the law of interest to members, and eight educational programs which provide members with the opportunity to earn up to approximately 85 CLE credits each year. The LADC also functions as the voice of its members in public service, working with its members and with other organizations to improve the speedy administration of justice in Louisiana courts. In 1998, the LADC was selected as the outstanding defense organization in the United States.

Louisiana Home Builders Association

The Louisiana Home Builders Association is comprised of Builders & Associate members who represent the homebuilding industry before state & regulatory bodies. Additionally, they serve as the chief advocate of private property rights, and educate the general public as to the advantages of utilizing licensed builders.

Louisiana Association of Self Insured Employers

The Louisiana Association of Self Insured Employers (LASIE) was formed in 1991 to promote and protect the right of business to self insure. The organization serves as a spokesman at the state level on issues affecting self insurers and workers' compensation and acts as a statewide information service and educational forum for Louisiana employers.

National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers
The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is the preeminent organization in the United States advancing the mission of the nation's criminal defense lawyers to ensure justice and due process for persons accused of crime or other misconduct. A professional bar association founded in 1958, NACDL has more than 11,000 direct members -- and 82 state, local, and international affiliate organizations with another 28,000 members -- including private criminal defense lawyers, public defenders, active U.S. military defense counsel, law professors and judges committed to preserving fairness within America's criminal justice system.
